About the Ride

Ride the Willapa started in 2016 as the brainchild of the Lewis County Community Trails Association. The event was birthed out of a wish to see the Willapa Hills Trail become a destination for cyclists of all types. LCCT’s goal is to continue to use RTW to bring riders together for a fun, scenic ride that’s family friendly — and to help reinvest in trails and active transportation in our local communities.

About the Willapa Hills Trail

The Willapa Hills Trail, located in Lewis and Pacific counties in southwest Washington state, is a former railroad that now welcomes cyclists, equestrians and more to explore the great outdoors. Providing a beautiful break from city life, the trail begins in Chehalis and ends in South Bend at picturesque Willapa Bay. Traversing over century-old bridges, through river valleys, under leafy forests and alongside beautiful farms, this trail is open year-round and is a true regional treasure.
