NEW to Ride the Willapa – it’s the Family Fun Ride!
This special route is for families with young kids who just want to spend a late Saturday morning together exploring nature on the Willapa Hills Trail.
Starting at 10 a.m. June 22, this chaperoned ride will take you and your family five miles from the Veterans Memorial Museum to Back Memorial Park in Adna for pizza and a free event T-shirt. Enjoy the beauty of nature, watch eagles in flight, and get a glimpse of the brand-new pedestrian bridge over Highway 6. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see Mount Rainier too…
Check-in for this event starts at 10 a.m., after the riders of the longer routes take off for the day. It’s just $5 per person for a ride that you and your family is sure to enjoy!
Ride Details & Guidelines
This ride is chaperoned by community volunteers. The event takes place on the paved portion of the Willapa Hills Trail, and any bike of any type will find it a smooth journey.
Parents or guardians must ride, walk or run with kids participating in the Family Fun Ride. No exceptions.
All participating riders should ensure bikes are in working condition prior to the event. All riders need to wear a helmet as well. Safety is paramount!
Please stay with the ride chaperones at all times. They’ll help lead you through road crossings safely and keep good watch over everyone on the way.
